Casale dell’Olmo is a stunning stone farmhouse that dates back to the late 1600's and is located deep in the Tuscan countryside of Anghiari, at approx. 600 m above sea level, only 20 minutes from Anghiari and 30 from Arezzo, in a small medieval hamlet, offering all the advantages of being in the open countryside, without however, feeling isolated.
Casale dell’Olmo has been meticulously and lovingly restored to a very high standard by its current owners using the finest materials and maintaining, where possible, many of the farmhouse’s original features which include; beamed ceilings, terracotta floors, antique solid wood doors, original stone fireplaces and antique marble and stone wash basins.
During the restructuring a modern 16 by 4 m outdoor, heated pool was built in close proximity to the farmhouse offering mesmerizing views over the surrounding hills and valleys.
Casale dell’Olmo is surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden of over 6,000 sq m containing approx. 50 olive trees, grapevines and numerous native flowers, shrubs and trees and of course, the swimming pool. Within the grounds, close to the pool, there is also a very useful, 2 storey outbuilding currently used as a garage on the ground floor and gardening shed on the first floor. This could be transformed into a small gym or outdoor changing area if so desired.
The farmhouse currently extends over two floors for a total of approx. 230 sq m, as follows:
The ground floor kitchen, bathroom and bedroom also have independent external access making it possible to use these rooms as a self contained apartment for guests, if so desired.
The electrical and plumbing systems are all certified and the property also boasts solar panels that provide hot water for the farmhouse and swimming pool.
The garden benefits from an automated irrigation system which is fed by the 2 water wells on the property.
Access to the property is via a tarmac road and then approx. 1.5 km of white road maintained by the town hall, making access possible all year round even with normal cars.
Also, the vicinity of Arezzo and therefore the A1 and Sansepolcro and therefore the E45, make Casale dell’Olmo the perfect base from which to explore the whole of central Italy and beyond.
Casale dell’Olmo is a truly peaceful oasis for all those wishing to lose themselves, in style, in the Tuscan countryside!
